Its been hard to not just throw a tune on my EB cause how cheap/easy it picks up power.

I haven't had an LML yet as I've stuck with tried and true LMM's. With just a delete (back when you could legit get it, not sure how it's done now) I went from 18 to 26mpg on the highway. How on earth is that not better for the environment lol. The LMM's have been like the 12v cummings as far as how far people have taken them. Most of the "race engines" Alligator and these other shops produce are based on LMM's.

LML as an overall truck package is superior if you address the the mechanical issues like replacing the CP4 with a CP3 and don't mind dealing with DEF. LMM's are a more common swap with the older trucks because between the LB7-LMM you can interchange the bottom end fairly easily. Each generation has it's +/- but by the time they got to LBZ which is 95% the same as LMM they had beefed up the rods and trans plus a handful of other things that made the OTS canned programmer/tuner company's more comfortable with selling higher hp tunes therefore giving off the impression to the general public that they are significantly better. But in reality if you have access to a good tuner you can comfortably make as much power with the older gen block as you an on an LMM once you've addressed your trans.

My truck with it's current setup is capable of hanging with stock V8 mustang and Camaro's and doesn't blow anymore black smoke/soot than it did when it was stock. All that black soot is just wasted fuel and on a street truck in my opinion done for showing off or looking like a fool depending how you look at it. One of the big issues that you cannot see with a deleted truck is that the NOX is off the charts and extremely bad for the environment or so the experts say :P Disclaimer... Not a scientist so I don't know what the actual effect is.

If someone needs tuning for a Duramax PM me and I might be able to help you out since as you mentioned the big guys are not selling tunes that bypass or shut off any of the emissions equipment. "Big Guy's" that is as there are still a lot of available tuners for your "Offroad race only rig"

Ya I figured if you signed off as "race only" some kind of disclaimer they could at least get by it. I'm super happy with my Duramax Tuners tune from before all that happened. Like you said no black smoke unless you REALLY get on it and even then it's not locomotive black. Mechanically they're much better off without all that garbage. The newer diesels have said to be having DEF "quality" issues too lately with their sensitivity turned way up or something.

I'm at 440ish ave it's amazing. The car takes off like a rocket. I drove it today and was giggling the whole time. Even broke the NT01s loose coming out of my neighborhood. Instant torque is niiice.
I looked into hitting the 500 hp mark like we discussed, but I don't feel like upgrading the fuel system LOL

Based on the info it seemed like this turbo was a good middle ground between cost and hp. He had a higher power option but trying to stay as close to what we discussed as possible. Not trying to turn this into a bottomless money pit :P

Art Gennari Turbo "AGT"

He was super responsive and available to answer all my noob questions. He offered quite a few a la carte options which was nice.

I went with his 9 55/54 setup. I'm going to send him my current 9 turbo to have the same work done so I can have a spare to take on the road with me.

Received the Turbo from Tyler. Way faster than what he quoted so that was a nice surprise!

Just ordered my Ciro wing from Rick tonight so looking forward to getting that on and see what if feels like to drive the EVO with some functional aero.

So need to get the diff back in once I get it back from TRE, install new Exedy twin disk clutch, get the turbo on and over the RRE for tuning, install Rick's wing and we should be set. Hoping to make it to The Ridge event April 3rd-4th.
