How do EVO drivers rate F1?
I agree, Ferrari would be a Minardi (or at least a Sauber or Jordan) without Schumacher. Certainly by now someone else should be able to counter that combination, no? The big difference between now and 10-12 years ago is that now you have one 'superstar' driver, and ten years ago you had 4 or 5 legends duking it out every other sunday. I disagree with the notion that Michael wouldn't win in another car. Put him in the BMW, BAR, or Renault the the results would be nearly the same. The car IS incredible, but Schumacher was instrumental in making it that way.
I live in Indy..luckily!@ I have gone every year and its awesome. I love the atmosphere...and even more so the crowd. Top notch people....the cars are awesome....the manufactures put tons of money into it to make it sweet too!
How awsome is this, Mark Webber has gone to Williams!!!!(Being Australian of course).

In the end he finished 2nd only 10 seconds adrift of Hill. That is huge talent to maintain momentum like that.
Nobody puts more effort into his driving than Schumacher. He is the only driver who gets out of his car and hasn't even broken a sweat. The ability to tear off hot laps on demand before and after pits has made all the difference in his career and accounts for many of the wins he does have with Ferrari.
Formula 1 is about technology and talent, it is not about passing. If you want to see passing watch NASCAR. IF you want to see the pinnacle of automotive technology and some really talented drivers then F1 is for you.
There was recently an interesting article in SCC where the employee got to drive a F1 car (Michelin's car) and you can tell from his limited experience what it takes to hand that car for just one lap, let alone a race. Ever notice there is no F1 car driving schools? The cars are truely psychotic. 900 bhp in a car that weighs like 1300 kg.
I've been wathing since about 1993 when Schumacher just came on the scene.
There are some talented drivers in F1 that I think will have thier day. Schumacher has seen it all (he was behind Senna in SM) and done it all in F1. I think at this point in his career he just wants to dominate while he can andd when a real challenge comes along he will be ready to hang it up. He had the D. Hill years and I think he is too old to play those games again.
I think F1 racing is really cool, but I like Le Mans racing way better. Open wheel racing is definitely an amazing sport, but something about sports cars is more appealing to me. Plus they sound better
i dont know about you guys but i think Button had the drive of his life last time out! this kid is great and glad to see that he doesn't get p***ed off and start forcing his way around when things get a little tough! the racing bettew him and the Renualt was the best racing i have seen all year! shame there cant be more of it in F1.
How long do you guys and girls think it will be before button wins his first race? do you think he has the skill to do it and what about the car under him? how about a drivers title?
thanks Chris.

i am a huge fan of f1 racing. i have watched it more and more in the last 5 years, and this year i am way in to it. i cant beleive all of the dillholes out there that spend so much time critizing micheal for what he does. he has the superior car, and superior driving abilities. he has the whole deal clenched now, but that makes all those up and coming teams- toyato- with the biggest budget, need to get there as#es back to the drawing board. i worry that with all the talk about switching to v8's and changing qualifing procedure, and everything else the FIA is talking about that it may go downhill. we have to stop it, if more americans would get interested and actually take the time to learn how F1 could burry nascar in any type of outing, why is nascar gaining all this popularity.... still. give it up. lets see gordon drive a bmw, oh wait we did. jpm gets out and says.. cool. gordon wont get out. these guys arent good enough to drive these cars. shouldnt we support the best most advanced racing. Screw NASCAR, go grand prix.
