How do EVO drivers rate F1?
F1 is my racing series of choice closely followed by ALMS and MotoGP. I've gone to two USGPs and television does not do the cars justice. The aural experience of being at an F1 race is out of this world.
As far as Schumacher goes, I believe he is the best driver on the grid. The Ferrari, I believe, is also the best car on the grid. It may not always be the fastest but it is the most reliable and probably the most drivable. Take a look at Rubens, if Mikey wasn't driving Ferrari would still have won the drivers championship. One aspect that isn't always evaluated is the race technical team. Ferrari works the hardest in regard to testing and setups. Having thier own test track and wind tunnel probably doesn't hurt. Take a look at the Sauber this past year, it was essentially a F2003GA with a 2004 spec engine and it didn't do as well as it could've, why? I think the Sauber team doesn't do as good a job setting up the car for the race.
The upcoming rules changes may make things interesting especially if the teams are forced to a completely new engine design. I think going to a smaller V8 engine favors Honda and BMW since they are the world's premiere internal combustion engine manufacturers IMO. Everything else though I think favors Ferrari due to their elite staff and resources.

Nothing can compare to F-1...they have the best technology, best people, and best open wheel drivers.
Other types of motor racing cannot even come close.
Bluntly put, any serious gearhead who races, would prefer to be an F-1 champ more than anything else. And who would not want to work with a Frank Williams, Ron Dennis, or Jon Todt? I mean, these guys are race geeks!!
For the average motorsport fan, however, I understand how watching F-1 these days may seem boring.
I, myself, enjoyed it more during the early 80's (Gilles V....yeah!), and especially the Senna-Prost years. That was the best, especially when they were both teammates (two of the best-in the same team).
the babes look better in the Moto-GP series though

I don't like F1 compared to......
DTM, BTCC, SCCA GT ad Touring car. I have loved cars for my entire life, i love the automobile. I know all about F1, technology, downforce, tires, redline(which makes me like Type R's). But for watching it on TV, i'd rather watch other events that are more competitive.
F1 cars are sweet, but i love "production" car racing, theres something there that connects them to an average person like myself. Maybe i don't like open cockpit cars
