You know what would be really be awesome!

An Evolutionm.net sponsored event, with full coverage on the site. KK can organize the event, and all the tuners can pitch in $300 and the winner gets to pick the charity of which that goes to (minus track expenses).

Who needs a magazine when we have Evom!

RRE
Buschur
Vishnu
XS Engineering
Sparco
RMR
WORKS

And any other tuners or serious privateer driver.

10-12 Cars, no dyno BS, no stopping competition, and if they track can't do 0-60, 1/4 then forget it. All we want is a serious no holds barred competition. And forget the classes, just no stripped out race cars. Whatever gas you want. Whatever DOT legal tires you want.

Sounds like a great idea, I know I would love to see it, I know most owners and fans would love to see it. Also I do like it when other vehicles participate, it sort of like a measuring stick and an eye opener to disbelievers out there when a 4 cylinder Door Sedan walks all over their expensive European machinery or 8 to 10 cylinder American muscle

I'm game it's a private car I'm a OLD slow guy so I have nothing to lose! The other shops have shop cars and if something hiccups ( and anything in the 2 liter 500 WHP club CAN AND WILL hiccup) they look bad even though they are DAMN good. So it's not really fair to them to lock the door and see who's standing at the end (also remember if you start matching $'s to performance the whole game shifts)...ANY and ALL of the above cars are works of art,(not mine though the SCC show panel gave me a grand total of 24 out of 110 possible points, so I have to be happy with the Junkyard dog title). Why spoil it with "man if her chest was just a little bit bigger!!!!" ;-)? Look at the track results decide the flavor, smell, color, and budget you have and start creating your own MASTERPIECE with the art school of your own choice! BTW EVERY tuner that risks destroying their EVO with track events deserves way more support than the "Paper tigers" support!

sweet idea meta, just slacken off on the offencive words ok, there is no need for it. you guys will catch up with us brits one day. LOL, only kidding, you already have some very nice cars over there. a little show for my liking but still very good.

so you want to race around a track, quickest wins? no holds bard, anything goes? that would be cool!

very nice brakes by the way. although i would prefer steel rotors as they take less time to worm up, and in a sprint event i dont think carbon would get uo to temp. be nice for some track days though! what is he running on the rear? please dont say standard!

thanks Chris.

PS. meta, Dunlop formula Rs are legal over here. they have the minimum 14% tread partern! is it difftrent for you guys?

We're game.

We were thinking of actually renting Buttonwillow sometime in late July for a mid-week track day. Why don't we turn it into a "unofficial" shootout. No magazines, just fast EVOs. Robi, RRE, Vishnu, XS Engineering, Works, and Sparco. Any others that you can think of for a California track day?

I'm totally down for setting this up. I'd probably need help to manage the entire event and document each vehicle, stats, etc. I'm open to the format, but I think a time trial would make most sense as that will test the cars track performance.

If we can get each tuner to post in here about their participation we'll have a good idea of who will attend. So far, it looks like Sparco, Robi, and Vishnu (I think) are a go.

We'll need to iron out a date, format, etc. I'm also for a September date because I will physically be there at that time August wouldn't work for me The extra time will also allow room to organize and promote things.

I'm guessing RMR, RRE, and WORKS would attend as well. I think beyond the time trials, we could make this a national meet. What better time then when most of the tuners are there
