Can't complain. First time out and turned in 52.1??, 50.8??, and 50.018. Managed to not get lost on the track and didn't eat any cones. I'm looking forward to 15th now. I'm seriously hooked.

As soon as I get out of the travel business (consulting) I plan to find a class or two to attend. I know the NTEC group is planning a trip to TMR this fall. If we can do hot lops I'll probably show up. I'm not ready for door to door racing.

There was a professional photographer at the event. He sent me these:

(that is my daughter in the foreground)

notice the great tape job.

I'm going to order a few copies from the guy. I think he did a really good job and was there all day.

This time the tape is a little better. Still need to get magnetic numbers though. I hate running tape.

Red is not a good contrasting color for black. The combination is specifically cited in the Solo 2 supplementals as one to avoid. White on black is the best.

For a good way to do of numbers check out:

And for a company that can make them for you check out:

http://www.ssc-tint.com/ and click on the RACERS! Competition Numbers link.

A little late, as you may not have noticed that post is over a year old and I already have red numbers (as you can see in later posts in this thread). They actually don't look bad on my car, which is actually dark gray, but the gray seems to have more green and purple tones in it. I might just stick with the traditional black numbers on a white background, boring but effective. But thanks for the suggestions, ironically I'll be driving a red car for the next season, and red numbers definitely don't contrast with red!
