I think that the clutch Mitsubishi specified from Exidy is clearly not strong enough to handle even stock power levels, let alone even slight modifications.
Hence why the clutches in evos are usually the first thing to get when modding.

Not saying that I'm going to be modding it, but I plan on having the car for a while, and being able to predict these ownership costs helps me to sleep at night.

I'm going to come back to this message in a couple years when I'm at 60k miles and see if the TC-SST is as good a shifter as am I. (As many of you are aware, I had a 370+ wheel torque MR with 60k miles on the original clutch...)

Yep, I would like to know this as well.(if you were referring to an EVO X MR) I talked to SSP (the ones who are making the super duper clutch packs for the EVO X MR), and they said they would have the clutch packs ready for shipment in about 3-4 weeks. Plus, they also said that we could just take out the SST tranny and send it to them, and they would swap out the clutches and send it back with tranny fluid for us to fill it up with. But SSP has yet to nail down a price on the installation of the clutches if we elect to send them the tranny. The clutch packs will be roughly around 1000.00 bucks and roughly handle between 450 and 500wtq. Then of course you will have to factor in labor (which I'm scared of ).

So my question to you Master Kevin, how much do you think it will cost me for you to remove the SST on my EVO X MR? How much do you think shipping will be, just thinking you might have an idea cause I know you send engine blocks n stuff to Buschur and SSP is up north as well? (if it matters)

Here is the address for SSP (might help with a shipping estimate):

1324 S. Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls, South Dakota 57105
