hey i was looking around tire rack and found these tires..
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....um=435WR8EXSXL
they seem pretty good, good treadware, good reviews. wondering if anyone ran them on their car? i dont race my car or anything, but i like taking sharp turns
they seem pretty decent tires for the price, any thoughts?

Great tire; they were the hot street tire for autocross this past season since they're stickier than the Z1 Star Specs. Their only downfall is needing heat to become really effective and their poor wet traction.
Interesting. They were all the rage in MN, drivers were jumping the Z1 ship for them throughout the season. One of my good friends switched from the Z1 to the XS and loves them for auto-x. What are the driver's complaints about them?
that they suck.
lol.
It's funny, Grassroots Motorsports really liked them, but the results are in that they simply did not perform here locally or at Nationals (one guy I know that had them on his CRX at nationals thought that their car was broken, like 3-4 seconds broken -- they went to their cheap street tires and performed better -- they ended up borrowing rides [three of them were using the same car]). Another guy with an M3 in STU here shaved off quite a bit of time switching to the star specs. In fact, he was on r-comps for the track (ECR & MSR) and was close to the same times on star specs, but not on the XS.
Maybe it's a surface difference? I dunno.
