I'm sure I'll be there. Perhaps I can learn how to be faster than forest green RX8s.

These autocross schools are great, I participated in one in MN and I was able to learn quite a bit. I highly encourage anyone even thinking about autocrossing to sign up, this is a great way to get a taste for auto-x plus become a better driver at the same time.

That's "Bass Boat" green to you.

Texas Region puts on a decent school... but you'll get a lot more seat time at the Maverick Region PCA autox school.

I thought I would jump this up to the top, since we're getting close to the SCCA autocross school. If you've never autocrossed and like inexpensive motorsport, that's probably the easiest on your car, you should give it a try.

It's a great deal to get both classroom & in-car instruction from some experienced national-level competitors. It's conveniently located at Pennington Field in Bedford, near the intersection of 121 & 183. The price is $65 for SCCA members and $75 for non-members. In addition to the classroom instruction & several hours of in-car instruction/practice, the fee includes entry into the next day's autocross at the same location. You'll be all warmed up and ready to go!

Instructors are all very experienced autocrossers, so you'll get some good tips. Students are divided up based on your car's drive wheels (FWD, AWD, RWD). Your instructor will be experienced racing in your particular drive setup. I'll be out as one of the AWD (all-wheel drive) instructors, so hope to see you'all there. If you're interested, you need to get your registration sent in quick.
