If you ditched the K&N drop-in in favor of a Perrin I bet you'd see ~5whp in gains. The Perrin open element filter (not available for the X yet) is good for 10+ whp over a K&N cone.

i dont have open element filter, my perrin is also drop in but when i checked my air box there was oil all over the box. late this year ams o2dp,ams fmic, fuel pump, injector and maybe e 85....

I know you don't have an open element, just giving you some info. Sometimes the Perrin filters come with a bit too much oil on them so I always give them a good rub-down with a paper towel before installation.
