From: Tx,
Another road hazard almost kill me.

Yah! I was driving home at I 45 towards Plano this 16 wheeler hit a big piece of long wood maybe 5 by 5 inches square and very long. The wood flew up in the air and heading toward my windshield. I'm really expecting it will hit my chest and head but instead I tried to evade and brake and it hit my left headlight, doors, fender and fog light. I hate road debris.

OMG! Glad you're ok bro! I definitely hate driving behind 16 wheelers.

Back in March, I was getting onto an On Ramp and the car ahead of me was being slow. Well the idiot decides to run over a tire slab and since I was following too closely, I couldn't avoid it. Luckily since he was going stupid slow for an On Ramp, the tire didn't fly up to high and ended up hitting the metal mesh and dinging my intercooler very slightly. Amazingly though you probably can't tell I was hit unless you look at the underside of my front bumper. The funny thing is I put off installing my AMS intercooler that day because I had other errands to do. Damn good thing I was busy or I would have been PISSED if my brand new FMIC would have gotten jacked up the day I installed it.

Wow, that's dangerous stuff. Glad you only sustained vehicle damage. Only in TX do you see washing machines on the side of the hwy

Not trying to jack this thread but I also hit a freshly blown 18wheeler tire with my evo x on the driver side this past week. It broke my front lip in half, took my foglights out, completely ripped my fender liner and some of the splash guards underneath. Also I got some scratches on the driver side of my car now but it seems like that could be buffed out.

???? sounds on subject to me??
we've all had to adjust our driving style to the 'Hazardous Road Mode'
If you haven't hit one, you're due, especially if you're lowered at all..
Its the only reasone i haven't installed one of those beautiful cf splitters

btw, you can call in road debris...I have...

my insurance gave me almost 3grand.. getting every little dent out and hood repainted along with repairing the bumper and lip, and throwing in a set of rexpeed cf airducts. thinking of painting or powdercoating the stock GSR wheels, but i may just try and pick up a set of the MR BBS wheels.. not sure yet...

and the jackass in fromt of me wasnt paying attention and ran over the blew out tire.. f'in jacka$$ it was take the tire to the bumper or mowdown the plastic HOV lane dividers at 70 mph.. outcome probably would have been about the same eitherway but being 4-5inches off the ground the dividers probably would have trashed the underside of my car.
