EVO in shop
Well my evo is in the shop to get the tranny leak fixed finally. Wait till you all see the rental I got .. Whoa... shes a beauty.. zero to 60.. in like 3 sec.. err mins. When I pull up thursday at COBB... Dont be mobbing around the car... I dont want it scratched and anyone leaving any greasy paw prints on it..and lastly.. dont anyone be asking to go for a ride.
Where was it leaking from? I didn't have any leaks when I took it apart to change the fluid, filter and pan. I also looked at the stock stuff when I installed the trans cooler (about 3 months before I installed the pan) and it looked ok.
The tranny is leaking from either 1. The edge of the housing where it connects to the tranny. 2. One of the rubber hoses that connect to the filter housing. 3. The filter housing has a defect somewhere in the plastic itself. Cobb has one other possibility; the factory spring clamps arent gripping ( just one of them probably ) and its leaking from there. Its been leaking since the car was brand new and was spotted at 1500 miles when we did the first oil change.
