Interesting.. I'm just about to hit 30k on mine and haven't had any misfire codes. *knock on wood*

Does this happen to unmodified engines?

Atleast now I know where to look if I do.

I think it's just pure random luck. I put 55k miles on my plugs before I changed them out and they came out looking perfect. No flaws at all. I've been running modified since 20k miles so I don't necessarily think it has to do with being modified or not. Just a bad plug in the batch maybe.

Just a quick thanks to EvolutionDynamics for all the recent work on my car. Bushings, motor mounts, handling upgrades, rear diff, etc.

The car handles better and faster than ever. Today, my co-driver and I scored 11th and 12th place in the equipe Rapide PAX winning us some money. Wasn't a lot but it was our first cash win and it was quite a thrill.

This is a huge accomplishment in my opinion, both of us placing in the top dozen, considering the competition and their experience including many national trophy and championship winners.

On a side note, the car is now very scary fast. It's so fast it scares me to ride in it. That said, we need more power! :-) So I'll be back again this summer to see what you guys can do for me. I'm thinking turbo and cams.

Thanks again, EvolutionDynamics, and here's to going even faster in the future!!

Kevin,
Have you see any different oil temp between no oil cooler vs stock vs aftermarket( maybe bigger than a stock)?

we dont run oil temp guages in any of our race cars so i couldnt' tell you. but i can tell you the stock oil cooler is good enough that we havent had any problems running on the track with it. the setrab coolers are roughly the same size as the OEM one with more rows, however the oil cooler flow is controlled by a thermostat. so if one works better then the other, the thermostat just wont open as far.

Thanks KevinD for making my car so dang fast -- and reliable too! It handles like it's on rails and still kicks autocross butt after 115K miles on the clock.

I got a raw FTD by 1.09 seconds yesterday. Except I bumped a cone and got a 2-second penalty. So second place for me afterall. Next time.

Maybe I should think about TT?? What ya think?
