With the temperatures reaching an unbelievable 110 degrees lately, I'm not really wanting to get out and wash my own car. However, I don't want to add more swirl marks in my black paint from the autoatic car washes and the "brushless" car washes are far from perfect.

Does anyone know of a good car wash around here that will hand wash the car for a decent price? I know a full detailing can potentially break $100 but I'm not looking for that. I just want a nice thorough wash for a manageable price that doesn't have me sweating my own rear end off in the process.

There are several places that do a good job. You do have to go when they are NOT just utterly swamped. Weekends unless very early are the worse. I personally use Trademark in Allen located right off 75 and Mcdermont/MAIN exit about 1/2 mile west.

They have a solid wash with all cloth machines for 20 bucks and for 40 bucks you get all hand cleaning with full interior done including all dust removed from cracks and gaps. They even scrub your SS exhaust.

For automatic soft-cloth washes both Autospa in The Colony and Carmel in Carrollton are great for $5.

Dates are a non-issue. I have 14 days off per month, only 4 are on weekends. Going early on a weekday suits me just fine.

The Allen location is awesome since I plan to move there by the end of the year.

Colony works too. That's right up the road from where I live now.

I'm going to try both of these places out. Thanks guys.
