Evo X's DO suffer from starvation, I can see it even on my stock turbo setup on 93, which is why I run with a full tank. I am not sure if it affects 8/9's the same but X's have lost motors due to starvation...
Understandable and thats cool and respect that. From my stand point of reading what he had to say it sounded like a sales gimic to me. Sorry if it sounds like im nagging because I know many others who run simular setups and don't need all that **** he is offering you.
Ok maybe I am a little bias being I do know more about the 8s and 9s then the x. I have to say I am going off info from the 8. But from one car to another I still don't see the need. And I am sure I'll get bashed but who cares.

Yeah, they cut a lot of corners on the X...Clutch master cylinder, fueling, diff pins, etc. I have logged fuel starvation running in a straight line due to ridiculous fuel relay's, as well as left hand cornering daily driving...I log my car anytime it is running and it has saved me many times. It really sucks actually, having a CMC on stock clutch and pressure plate go out during the first lap on the season end autox...and hearing so many people say, "WTF, plastic clutch master cylinder?!".
Yeah isn't that a shame? I mean you pay all that money for a beauitful car and they use cheap parts like that. Pisses me off. Either way man I just hope you get what you wanted out of it and reguardless of what I say or anyone else says your happy with it.

So far so good, I would be happier had it lasted longer than my lame *** RX-8 I had before. So far aside from being slow in the straights, it held up better than anything I have owned, no bad CMC's, no bad fueling, never broke down, always reliable...and I paid half the price lol!
Sounds to me like you need a new tuner. It has been proven time and time again on Mustang dyno's to make more power then that. Obviously all mine was done on vd, but even with the mustang settings I still made over 450. Sure Mustang dynos will read lower, and thats fine. I perfer Mustangs over Dynojets, but at the end of the day I will still make over 625 whp on a Dynojet and we can put that to whatever on a Mustang.
makes sense. the VDs that mellon and TScomp use read far higher then what we see on our dyno. even the "mustang" correction isn't close to a real mustang. tscomp and i have argued in many threads over this, and we have track proven our numbers so i know they are fast cars (with low reading power numbers).
your welcome to use drag trap speeds for a good power comparison. for evo 8's, ours made 575whp and ran a 9.8@140. 470whp runs a 10.8@129. your mid 500's on a single walbro i would expect you to be mid 10's @130+mph.
back on topic though, i'm not trying to sell gimmicks here. i know the customer and i know the X well. we actually race X's regularly (not street or dyno pulls either... ), and we know Jose also does the same, so we offer our products we know he can and would use. if he drove an evo 8, i wouldn't offer a surge tank because it isn't needed.

Yeah, as soon as I get it back running and get all of the piddly crap taken care of on it. I got a good price on injectors and pump. I will probably procrastinate like always on putting them in and tuning it.
I'd recommend the FIC's if you're staying in the low 400's they should flow plenty. I've been running the 1100's for over a year without any problems. I also run the BlaQops kit with a single Walbro 255lph and for the most part it has been awesome but like Matt mentioned there is a known issue in that one fuel line in tank cracking open so I'd recommend changing that or at least inspecting it occasionally. It took mine about 9 months and 15k miles before it split and I had to have it replaced at Cobb. If you're upgrading turbo's and you want to be sure on injector I would honestly consider the FIC 2150's if you're not on a budget that way you'll always have plenty of headroom if you go bigger; although I'd only suggest those if the car is going to be on E-85 at ALL times. I've heard they will run on pump gas but not that well.
Also FWIW my IDC is at about 74-77% I don't remember which, on stock turbo at 28psi on the street.
