Advice on this EVO.

I'm in market for Evo 8/9 or if i can't find one that are in my price range, i will prob jump into new wrx.

Anyway this evo is up for sale in local, please give me your thoughts. Price seems OK for close to 80k milies but many previous owners(?). Is this good deal? and what should i look for when i go check this car out in person?

http://www.texashotrides.com/vehicle...as-Texas-75234

Also, i'm having hard time finding a bank (near carrollton) who will loan older/higher milies vehicle. Anyone knows any CU does?

Thanks.

Looks like a clean ride. Texans credit union finances all 3 of my vehicles. They are good people.

I'm sure if you have concerns about the car you could run it by Evolution Dynamics for a check up.

PM KevinD, or call up Evo Dynamics, and pay him to do a prepurchase inspection. It's over in his neck of the woods, and Kevin has probably seen everything one could do to an Evo.

You're going to have trouble getting financing for a 7 year old car. I found that most places will only finance cars that old if they were in a high-end market segment. Good luck.

Seller told me 20k is bottom line and they are dealing with a couple buyers now. I prob wait for other ones.
I talked to texans cu before and they only do for 7yrs/less than 75k milies. So far i know is 1resource CU will do older vehicle but their reviews/bbb isnt that great.

Thanks for reply guys

Sounds like that's a better deal^^^, newer, modded, less mileage. Only thing is I bet that ones not an MR. Although I like the 9s the best I found an X that I couldn't pass on.

Credit Union of Texas finances my evo and financed my s2000 previously. They are awesome. I financed the evo right at 5 years old though, so I don't know what their policy on 5+ is.

Good luck!

Credit union of texas told me i have to live within 20 milies near them. idk why.

I just did auto loan request thru texans credit union website, since the car is an 06 and low milies, i'm sure it would be fine. Hope i can hear good news from them.

Penfed had 1.9 but they are a pain, lots of paperwork and forms.

I'm pretty sure I remember you from S2kI too...I went by S2kracka over there.

$20k for a VIII with that many miles is incredibly steep. That car Kevin mentioned sounds worth looking into. Kevin, have your customer to list it for sale in the NTEC classifieds thread (or do it for him if you're willing to vouch for it).
