Holy rubber strips, Batman!

I just got off the phone with the parts guy at Don Herring. To get the black "rubber strips" from a GTS to swap for my chrome ones is almost $300. And that's not including the price to swap them out.

If I were Wile E. Coyote, I'd be holding up a sign that said "yikes" right about now.

That seems very odd, they're only about $40/each for a DSM.

That's what I said. I may have to make the drive out there. I'm not sure the part I mean is the part he thinks I mean.

Look up the part online. I know that searching for the part is a pain most of the time but most of the time there is a diagram that shows the part.

Which part are you wanting to replace exactly, like where is it on the car?

It's on each door. It's the chrome window sill piece. I want mine black instead of chrome.

I'm guessing it's part #2?

$300 for a belt moulding is crazy. They must be talking about the wrong part.

Edit: Maybe he was quoting you for the entire run channel? Those can get pricey...but still...

Can you just remove them, sand them, then hit them with some flat black??

+1 to goofygrins idea

Did you tell them you're in NTEC? That statement alone can make dealer prices drop hardcore

Well thanks to you guys (specifically rmondoh and a couple others) I have the necessary parts on their way to me now... at a drastically reduced price.
