Over boost?

On my way back from work few days ago... I went WOT in second gear and "beep!" my boost/EGT gave me a nice warning beep. Boost did hit all the way to 30psi and EGT was around 1900F @ before 7000rpms (psi and temp was from recall peak). I was like it can't be...1900F???? And i got home thinking about it... it gave me a warning beep once in my memory, but i didn't thought it was big issue plus didn't know how to recall/reset on gauges at that time.

Anyway...on my way back from work today, i gave it a try again. First and second pulls..i didn't see any problems, boost was under 25psi and EGT was around 1400F. But i made a mistake passing redline in second gear I was too much focusin on boost/EGT gauge.

Wondering see if anyone have a similar experience?

Those gauges do not have a recall function. The number is only signifies when the warning beep is supposed to go off and it is set by the user. It was probably a momentary electrical short under full throttle.

The car has upgraded vavle springs so the rev limiter is set above redline. It is fine to go into redline (as long as oil temp is up).

You did not over boost nor was the temp too high. You have got to stop watching the gauges when you floor it. Haha. Sounds like you are still enjoying the car though.

I think this is why i got confuse?

I looked thru prosports website and i'm assume these are premium gauge(?).
Peak recall
1.) Push button one time to recall peak level. The Blue light will come on when gauge is in
recall mode. The pointer will rise to the Highest level attained by the gauge and remain
there approximatley 5 seconds.
2.) To reset peak level: While in peak mode (blue light is on) press and hold button down

That function never seems to work right. I guess I was mistaken about the recall function because it always went to the warning level, regardless of what the last peak level actually was. I guess you can reset it and then try again. It just never worked for me.

I reset everything last night and tried. Car runs strong even today.

Anyway... more i think of, gauge did read wrong at that night. if it did get up to 1900F, i'm sure something went wrong right away. Suprised noone had similar experience...
