Seat belt sensor delete?

Ok the damn seat belt sensor is driving me nuts. I driving with it alot, but sometimes i dont. Like when i drive home from the gym. And for 20 minutes i here beep beep

beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep

beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep

How do i delete it? I figured it will void my warrenty. The only reason i bought a 2010 lancer is cuz of the 100,000 mi warrenty. BUT this is the one thing I'm willing to do to the car, that could void anything. I need to get this done. driving me nuts.

after searching for 5 minutes, didnt find anything... did any of you guys do this yourself? what did you do?

click in the seat belt before you sit down, then sit on your seat belt.

eh. yea thats how i been doing it. Either that, or just connect my passenger seat belt, into the driver lol. It stops the beeping, but uncomfortable and annoying. Would just rather have it stop altogether.

I know in most states its the law to click it. But to have a nonstop beep like that? ****s annoying. Should be the owner of the vehicles choice to break the law or not. Shouldnt have to put up with that annoying noise.

jus go behind the seat with the belt and click it in. the other way is completing the circuit through the wiring which will void your warranty

I usually do. unfortunatly, i dont wear my seat belt A) after the gym. B) while tattoo's are healing.... I go to the gym 5 days a week and get a new tattoo once a month. w/ 1-2 weeks of healing time. So wearing the seatbelt sometimes is impossible and/or annoying. But I do alot. But alot i dont. So wondering if there was a way to stop the censor. Other than rigging the seatbelt behind my seat lolol. Good idea. But i was wondering if there was a bunch of guys out there who already did it, and can tell me which wire to "snip" lol. thanks for the input guys.

look for the plug under the seat and unplug it. Thats what I do on every car i have. Im not exactly sure which plug it is on your 10 lancers.

I was going to do this but was wondering if that will stop the airbags from working

Why are you worried about safety if your trying to get away with NOT wearing your seatbelt.

just unplug the plug underneath the seat. it won't mess with the airbag system at all.

I'm not "trying to get away with NOT wearing your seatbelt" I don't wear my seatbelt it is my choice I'm not breaking any laws and I don't care what people think about my choice to not wear one.

now to answer your question.... I am worried because if something were to happen and I have a passenger in the car I want to know that if I unplug the seat belt sensor that it will not stop the airbag from deploying for them

if you bypass that if you get into a wreck the airbag can seriously injure you when you go flying into the steering wheel and the bag goes off pushing you back. but if you must . cross the wires togeather under the seat, but if the dealer sees it there not gonna be happy. ive cut off the part the pushes in from a different car and stuck it in before with work vehicles.

Good thing I found this thread, I'm gonna check on this tomorrow and hopefully that'll be the solution.
