Withdrawing from NTEC..
So now that I'm home and have slept, initial impressions:
It is slower than the evo. There, I said it. 415hp porsche != 800hp evo. Shocking, I know. BUT. Guess what I can do? I can get in 6th gear, on the highway, and use the pedal on the far right. And the car goes faster, like instantly. I believe they call that 'displacement' or 'torque' or 'no OMFG turbo lag'. Something like that. So that's cool. It pulls very well, revs very high, and sounds amazing. No real drone, much much quieter than the evo was.
The steering feel is exactly what you've always heard about 911s. It is perfect. I thought the evo felt good to drive, but honestly driving this car makes the evo steering feel like a cheap toy. Very impressive. Everything feels solid. For example, changing lanes. Turn the wheel in the evo and you're moving the front tires and the car follows. In the GT3, it feels like when you turn the wheel you're shifting the earth underneath the car, just solid feeling.
Seats are surprisingly comfortable. 20hrs driving and my back felt fine. I'm a little bit wide in the hips for them so the side bolsters did hurt for that long drive, but shorter times is no issue at all.
All in all, I'm very very happy. It looks gorgeous (better than the evo...) drives great, is pretty fast, and when I look at the steering wheel, there's a porsche badge there. It's honestly the best feeling in the car world.
Now I just need a 911 turbo so I can have a 650+whp street car....... lol

Good for you, the lack of worry must be killing you, nothing like wasting even more time and money on another forum/car! My boss said to me, verbatim, "Why would someone want to buy a V6 that blows up!". He is not a car guy...lol!
