March fun run - 3.30.2013

Special thanks go out to everyone that participated in the December Run in Austin, and made it a success.
150 cars!…0 accidents!…0 tickets!

It was a GREAT turnout, and now it’s time to clear your calendars for March….
Only this time, the stakes are higher.

For those of you that crave more than what Lime Creek and 1431 can offer…I submit to you an invitation to the Three Twisted Sisters.

Remote…challenging…and not for the inexperienced driver.

DATE: Saturday March 30th 2013

TIME: TBA

MEETING PLACE: River Hills Mall in Kerrville, TX

ROUTE: From Kerrville…it’s Hwy 16 to Medina, TX…RR337 to Leakey, TX… RR336 to Hwy 41…to RR335 and back to Camp Wood, TX.

From Kerrville, it’s roughly 150-170 miles round trip to Camp Wood, TX, where overnight lodging/camping is optional, for those that don’t want to make the long drive back home in the dark.

More information on lodging will be available soon….

I’ll keep you posted as it gets closer to March.

Now we're talking; more driving, less parking lot! Kelly should be interested in this one.

For anyone who has not done the Twisted Sisters, it is one of the top drives available in the country. Maybe I'll have to see if I can figure out how to get down to TX with the Z4.

Hopefully we will only have cars that SHOULD be on a drive like this. Bringing your SLOWMARO with 18 inch rear tires and 4 inch fronts is not a cruise car.

Same here. I think I'll be playing this one by ear.

I might come down for this since im not getting to go to tx2k. Depends on when my clutch comes in. And the availability of E85 on the route.

There is E85 available in Austin, but don't expect any along the route. I'd suggest bringing your laptop to flash on your pump gas map or setting up map-switching.
