ROUTE: From Kerrville…it’s Hwy 16 to Medina, TX…RR337 to Leakey, TX… RR336 to Hwy 41…to RR335 and back to Camp Wood, TX.

From Kerrville, it’s roughly 150-170 miles round trip to Camp Wood, TX, where overnight lodging/camping is optional, for those that don’t want to make the long drive back home in the dark.

I've already talked the wifey into going... we need some time away from the kids and madness of the metroplex! And I will be blasting the 15" the whole time!

 

I'm down as a "maybe" for now! Week after Vegas...might still be recovering

 

how long does it take to run the cruise? I may be down depending on what time i could get back home

 

Last year we left at 6 am, arrived in Kerrville around 11:00. Ate lunch and started the cruise around 12. The cruise lasted about 3 to 4 hours. Ate dinner around 5 and headed home.

 

We were home after midnight.

 

Just an FYI, I was down there this past weekend on my bike and saw at least two gas stations in Kerrville that sell e85.

Sounds like we'll have a good group from Dallas/NTEC! With a good showing, I'm pretty much guaranteed to join since rolling in a group makes it that much more fun!

Should we get hotel rooms somewhere for Saturday night or make it an 18 hour roundtrip?

This is going to be an early start from those of us coming from Dallas, but in my mind this route is well worth it! We need to leave our usual Einstein Bagel meet location by 6am to get us to Kerrville by 11am (giving us time for 3 gas stops - Dallas, Austin, Kerrville).

After the cruise, I'm thinking spending the night in Austin would be a great idea; we could get a group hotel like we've done for other cruises and have a relaxing late dinner at County Line BBQ
