Found an accessport for sell was $100 but the only thing its locked and they did not unmarry it when it was disconnected. my question is would you buy it and is it an easy thing to unmarry a device without the vehicle.

Cobb would have to unlock it, which I believe they charge around $300 to do.

It's expensive to have it unlocked to keep people from sharing a single unit with their friends.

Could but but that's not always the case. I bought my car used and it had a tune when I bought mine. I don't have the access port to my car even though it's married to it...

 

Was your car tuned with an AP or tactrix?

 

AP, if i go with another brand is there any need to unlock it or just reflash or something? I like the car the way it is but just for future reference.

It's not as simple as flashing right over a married access port evo x ecu. We have to "unmarry it" on the bench first, but it is possible and we do it somewhat often.
