Running catless in texas.

Can I pass inspection if I run a catless testpipe? With a tune of course. I have heard a lot of mixed feelings on the subject so far.

Yes I'm running a full turbo back exhaust from tomei and recently did my inspection in jan. As long as your check engine light does not come on your good.

I have Cobb stage 3 I kept tripping 0137 so I eliminated the rear O2 and failed. Went back to OTS Stage 3 Cobb map and tripped 0137 again just before heading to the test. I guess like tommyhomer1 said, if your timing is right and you are not tripping MIL, you should be fine.

I guess you can do the timing. But I never have a code on my car. I was trying to say they don't do smog test on our car or look underneath. I just run it with a v3 with a stage 2 map and I haven't had any problems

By timing, I mean, time it to where you don't throw a CEL. Mine will randomly throw a P0137. Annoying. I have a MAP test pipe with non fowler.

Maybe we could start a Mid week meet?! I to am eager to meet other evo owners and learn the what to and what not to do's with the car. And get some tasteful ideas for my build.

I'm down with that we could also do it on Saturday too anytime before 4. Maybe Starbucks or something? Anyone else besides me and you would like to do this. There got to be more friendly evo owners out there.

Well, this got extremely off topic. Haha.

There are already too many Evo meets, so making another mid week meet will have terrible turnout. This has been a recurring theme over the past few years to make a meet to satisfy a couple people and nobody shows up.

So...just attend the established events and there will be plenty of Evo owners.
NTEC 3rd Tuesday is the original meet. Go to this one. Just plan on attending and adjust your schedule as necessary.
Cars and coffee 1st Saturday always draws many Evo's.
Cobb 1st Thursday is another great meet.

Back on topic-running catless in DFW isn't too hard. Just hope they don't look under your car and you'll be fine.
