Its A. the car is just down on hp not being tuned correctly yet or B. it might have been really hot which will drop hp and cause mph to drop. C. missing gears doesn't help mph either.

When I only had three mods and ran a 12.8@109, it was very cool and I was shifting quickly. My 60ft was a 1.9, so I know my ET could have been better.

The most recent time, my first run was a great 60ft, but the missed gear screwed me.

The last run I had in that day with the 13.0, it had been nearly two hours since the first run and the track had really heated up. The fact that that I bogged didn't help matters and I guess I wasn't shifting quickly either. Just a bad run.

Once the car is all tuned up, I'll definitely be up for running it again. I'm just not exactly sure when that is going to be. Need to do more datalogging and then wait for John (Jestr) to get back to me. I'll keep you posted, thanks.

So im kinda stuck in this clutch thing.... my two choices are get the Twin Disc exedy clutch with labor for 2500 and it comes with a flywheel or Change the whole car back to stock and get another stuck clutch in the car for free maybe if its under warrenty. I would think so since theres only 3000 miles on the car. And of course if i got another stock clutch i would baby the car. also if i got the stock clutch i would prob get my rims and springs to lower the car.. Idk what to do. I kinda just want to get the twin disc and it be over with but i dont have alot of cash atm......

my advice, if you can get a stock clutch for free, do it.

also, for a DD you might want to think about a single plate organic over a twin disk. depends on your ultimate plans for the car though. the twin can be a bear for daily driving.

also, do not under any circumstances get springs. no matter what anyone says. don't do it. coilovers or just leave the suspension alone. springs do nothing but cosmetics, and in my experience lead to many, many, many, many blown out struts.

they are quite noisy at idle. the pedal pressure is comparable to stock but it does require a bit more thought and effort for daily driving. it's not bad, when you really get down to the brass tacks any car with a standard transmission kind of sucks in traffic and commuter scenarios to some extent.

there are plenty of guys on here who had DD'd a twin though without a problem. they do chatter a good bit though. some of the single plates actually have a considerably heavier pedal feel, but i think are a bit easier to engage on hill starts and such. granted i haven't done a great deal of driving with a twin.

if you're bank account is looking a thing you may want to consider a single plate. but like i said it depends on your end goal with the car. if you are planning to continue building it and adding more power then the twin disk might be the right answer, since clutch jobs are expensive and it's best to do them only when absolutely necessary.

^thanks for the advice, yea im not sure what im gonna do. Mike said they are easy to drive in a DD and dont really chatter alot except when you really heat them up, and they are pretty easy to push in and out. Once i get some more money i want to start going Arbo's route and get cams turbo intercooler manifold etc etc etc and then track the car hah

ugggg! And people wonder why our warrenty's are so bad. Why is it Mitsubishi fault you modded the car and burnt thru the clutch? If you can afford all those mods, why can't you afford a clutch? That's garbage. As you can tell that pisses me off.

No disrespect intended but if you are going to make that sort of comparison, then you need to be objective. It sounds extremely vain to say you are saving money to put toward your mothers health, but in the mean time you will buy car parts. Just maybe not the top of the line, best possible car parts. To most people, there is no compromise.

On a side note, your stock clutch should still be OK at your current power level especially considering how long you have been running your setup. You either need more seat time with a manual transmission car, or you need to lay off the 2 step launches, or a combination of the 2.

Well if that is the reason sell the car! You will need much more then that to try out alternative options. My wife's mother passed away from cancer. I do hope see beats it!

But come on. The evo is a very expensive car to maintain. And in one breath you say save money, then you talk about getting springs and wheels to race.

Im fine driving a manual its just the launches that hurt it. and yea that comparison was a little off of what i ment. I ment that if my family ever needs help i could help with some of the bills or w.e instead of buying car parts that i want, or i guess need in this case..

the clutch has no warranty..It would not be replaced for free...its the same as brakes pads.If its worn out no matter what you are paying for it.....I met in the future If you had mecanical failures you would be more likley to get it fixed under warranty if it had a stock clutch in it..
