local Pittsburgh Meet
Whats up guys,
Although its still quite cold and snowy out, I'm going to try and get ahead of the game and start looking for a good summer tire. Im looking for a dedicated summer tire with near equal wet/dry performance (My summer rims are 17x9.5 Advan RS's). I know many of you have much more experience with tire selection than I do, so I figured Id see what you guys think. Any input or suggestions would be much appreciated.

I liked the stock advans while they lasted. Mine cupped. They were always very loud. Excellent grip. They are not price competitive and IMO are dated.
Bridgestone Potenza Reo505a pole position. Just sold these. I had them for one year. I liked them a lot but want to they the Bridgestone RE01R's as I have read they are about as good as it gets. Much quieter and more pleasant then stock with just about as much grip and very good in the wet.
I am a pretty loyal bridgestone customer. I've always recommended their products to people and never heard a negative review.

I agree with Dave 100%. I too have always been a Bridgestone fan. I have the
RE050A poles positions and like them, I feel like they tend to overheat but I
may tend to over drive so the verdict is still out. The RE01R is top of the food chain
but others are gaining ground. The dunlop Dirreza and Kuhmo's MX replacement to
name a few. I will be waiting for the RE01R replacement the RE11 but not sure when
it's debuting here.
