I'm seriously debating on buying a cheap junker in need of body work but with good fuel economy and a good drivetrain. Maybe something like Mr. Tim's Honda . Looking at like 2 grand or less - 1 grand would be ideal.
Honda for sale. 9,700 miles. Big wing. Altezzas, racing seats, extras. Fresh rear bumper remodification (brown Buick LeSabre series). It will only cost you 28 1-thousand dollar bills. Firm.

honestly, i got a 98 saturn with 99,000 miles from an auto auction for $1100.00 after some dealer *** hat bid it up that high .. anyways, i average 32/34 mpg and its a twin cam!! you just have to look. I do that all the time, i buy beaters drive them and sell them for twice what i paid. This car on auto trader goes for $3700.00 ... not sure if i would sell it though

thats kinda steep..

I would say that the FMV on that car is only going to be like $14,500 for retail. which would put you around $10,000 for a trade in.. tell me if im wrong, but i have been down this alley before and been screwed sidewayzz with a giant stick... picture that

trying not to........picture........it

everyone has been high. the dealer was trying to get me to bite on $10,000 trade in. I've only had the car for a year, and that would leave me with neg. equity. i would like to get him up around 14 so i can cancel my old loan, but from your responses i just might sell it myself. that being said, anyone want a daily driver?

ouch, i was hoping i WASNT right, but it stinks. I had an audi TT convert with only 50,000 miles on it. it was 4 years old MINT! and original sticker of $46,000 and i got $11,000 for it almost made me cry, but it was traded for an evo so

i would attempt to outright sell it, much better results. takes a little more time, but is really worth your pocket book..

aim for like 14 and take 13 a little loss to move something might be ok.

Oh, and for a beater car.

look at these

http://www.goodwillpitt.org/retailSe...individual.jsp

goodwill auto autcion. free to go to, and cars RARELY go over $1000.00...

i got this (my first saturn, not my one im driving now) saturn there 2 years ago for $150 (needed clutch) sold year later for $1700.00

this is funny, if someone just came into our thread and read this they would probably laugh in our face. i understand the whole topic, but from an outsider view. isnt it strange, look at the cars we drive... going to a goodwill auction, its just complete opposites. also about 2 part of our cars could pay for the one your about to buy lol. hey i wonder if they'd take a trade for that new FMIC

No, but honestly i need to send my friend there. he keeps getting raped by dealers for ****ty *** cars. hes had 3 cars and each one gets progressively worse. right now hes driving a 95 cavalier with 140,000 miles, paid $2,500 and its f'd. the transmission is beat and who know about the engine. for how many miles he was running it with low tranny fluid and he never changes the oil just tops it off. one problem is he never asks questions until something is broken. like the oil, he just puts more in.

wow petey, 35g in 4 years? that absolutely blows. i might go the _____ (enter POS here) route for me, but this is going to be her car. i'll wait until I get it, because i'm superstitious when it comes to mentioning things i am going to buy, but i will post pictures up in about a month (the wedding is in july). as a teaser, its the same manufacturer- but it unfortunately does not include the 'M'.

see the SBC Advans on satin silver!

Hmmm....I might have to hit that up. I will have to see what the plans are but if I can swing it I will be there for sure. I'll skip that other thing tonight and shoot for the waterfront meet tomorrow. That is pretty close to my bro's place too so should be able to do that. I can't see why not so might as well add me to the list.

PS: apex silver.
