...so I am considering selling my 2006 EVO IX MR and getting a daily driver, boring car. Then maybe pick up something I can trailer for drag racing (or autox).
I stopped at a dealer, and was surprised he wanted my car, found out Honda North in Butler loves EVO's. They have a 2005 on their lot.
Anyways, he offered me what I thought would be a fair "trade in" price, and now I am not sure if I want to sell or not. Good thing they didn't have the model and color of Civic I was looking at for a daily driver...or I might not have the EVO.

So in any case, i got rear ended on my way home this afternoon. Nothing major, just a 4 car accident
. So in any case the cop is there, getting everyone's info. Comes over to me, takes my name and stuff, looks at the back of the car, looks at the wing, looks at me again and says "is this a honda"? I almost left the scene with an assaulting an officer charge....

The Gen. Manager at Honda North is a douche bag. Ive dealt with him before and he is a typical sales man. (no offense dave!)

The EVO can be a very capable daily driver. If you don't like the noise maybe try a cutout DP do you can have stock exhaust most of the time and open when you want to race?
Its not the noise...just that the cops have ruined it to have some fun driving to work...I have to drive Rt19, and I can't get past 35mph or 40mph. Its seems they are everywhere anymore, very few times can you open it and enjoy yourself. Thats why I am going to consider picking up something for "race" only. Who knows...it might end up being a used EVO.
Still haven't made up my mind yet....

.I'm seriously debating on buying a cheap junker in need of body work but with good fuel economy and a good drivetrain. Maybe something like Mr. Tim's Honda
. Looking at like 2 grand or less - 1 grand would be ideal.
It would be very difficult for me to sell my Evo because there is nothing else out there quite like it. My issue is that I don't want to put the miles on it. Problem is that I like driving it too much. I purposely take longer routes just to extend the drive. I'm already at 43,800 miles
.

hey guys, i've got a question for anyone willing to answer. i'm going to surprise my finance with a new car on our wedding, but i keep getting hosed at the dealer for the trade in value of her car. i'm thinking i should just put it on autotrader (or the like) but i would like to know what an average person, without going to kbb, would think about it (not to diminish your clearly superior automotive knowledge by calling you average). it's got 54,000mi, sport, lux, and cold weather pkgs. 5 spd, leather (not leatherette), 4 brand new high performance all seasons, and all service records throughout the lifetime of the car (always serviced at a dealership, er, stealership). as you can see from the picture, it was adult driven:

what will I ever do....
