Finally put together enough money to get myself an Evo! It's a black 2003 with about 12K miles on it. Stock except for an ugly shift knob and an exhaust.
Got it at Brighton Auto Brokers for $23k. They're sending it to Boch Mitsubishi tomorrow for a pre-buy inspection. Hopefully the result will be good and I'll finally be a proud owner of an Evo!

Nice, I lived really close to Belmont last year, near the Fresh Pond golf course.
Unfortunately, the Boch service team wasn't able to finish the inspection today.
Hopefully they'll have the Evo ready by tomorrow. I'm dying to take her out for a spin this weekend!

The EVO had a bad O2 sensor and had a recall on it. Boch took care of the problems today. Other than that, they said the car was just like new.
Dealer will put some new tires on tomorrow and get me my plates. Insurance wasn't too bad, I found a good deal. I'll pick her up tomorrow afternoon! As for the parking space, I have a space availiable but there's plenty of plowing + shoveling to do (>_<) ;;
Let me know when the next get together event is, and I'll be there with my roomate. He has a White Evo. Just need a week or so to get used to the car (and the manual shift) and get the windows tinted.

Finally got the car at 4pm today. Went out to learn "stick shift" at the Chestnut Hill Mall parking lot. Stalled a lot at first, but got a lot better after 2 hours.
After that, went for a drive along Route 9. Didn't go above the speed limit, because I didn't want to place myself in a situation I can't handle.
The car was superb. Fast, comfortable enough for me, but a little too loud. Maybe I should put the stock exhaust back on.
Going to practice all weekend. My left leg is a little sore, but I've never loved driving so much!

wow!! I've never seen your car, but I'll be on the lookout next time! i live on allston street, so if u see a black evo stalling on a hill in the area, that's probably me
also i'm changing my annoying muffler to a remus soon .... anybody wants a used muffler? it's too loud for me, but perhaps others may find use for it.
i'll exchange my old muffler for food and/or beer (=.=);;
