im HOPING its something like a fuel filter or fuel pump...i guess it could be a problem with the head/block/compression loss

If I remember correctly wal-mart sells an obd-II scanner cheap, its nothing special but it gets the job done. They used to sell it at my local wal-mart, but i went their last week and they werent their no more, so maybe the one around you still has it.

thanks, ill definitely check that out. i need to be sure that whatever i get can pull stored codes and diagnose a problem, since the car isn't currently throwing a CEL. ive found a lot online that will run off of software on a laptop and a cheap cable connection...i'm thinking of picking one of those up even though i wont be able to get it before the weekend.

thanks for the walmart suggestion...imma check that out today
