I don't think there is a New York State law that says they have to let you test drive it. But there also is not a law that states that they are not allowed to let you test drive it either. I think it has a lot to do with the dealership's initial impression of a customer. If you appear to be a customer who drives onto the lot with a car of significant value, puts down a refundable deposit and look the part of the responsible driver, I don't see why they wouldn't let you take their car for a test drive. It also has a lot to do with if you've dealt with the dealership in the past. I've personally bought a nice bevy of cars from my local Mitsubishi dealership and I get along with them, so I have no problems test driving, but if you're just a walk-in customer and use Evo-NY as a reference, I don't think it will give you much clout. It is true that Willie has facilitated many sales at Manfredi, so it would be a good starting point to talk to him first.
so yeah i think your right thnx
Talk to Willie?
or the salesman
Who did he deal with? Also thnx Yellowfever for the info
