Is it legal to do this with stock taillights in Jersey?



I like it and want to do it. Anyone know???

 

i've seen it done on domestics. they use GTO covers on both head and tailights

 

no.. ive gotten a fine for the exact same thing..

 

i would have to go with a no on that one. You need to have either a red lense on the tails or a clear lense with a smaller red lense under it like the stock EVO tails. Its legal on headlights but only during the day.

My buddis a bordentown cop and he said as long as you have amber blinkers its legal

How about a red blinker? Because on my aftermarket ones now it's a red blinker.

 

its not legal on headlights in cali even during the day. i dont see y not like you use them during the day. but ive gotten 5 tickets for headlight covers on my mustang, would have been more but i cracked them and one of my headlights so i got projectors

 

LOL Don't go by what a Bordentown cop says, they aren't too bright.
Before you attack me for that comment I worked next door to the PD for 7 years.

You will get harassed all over with those tails.

 

Bordentown cops are a bunch of idiots and *******s......but when I first got my evo I had that blackout done over the entire lens w/ amber blinkers and I was pulled over for speeding numerous times and I never got a ticket for them...I was pulled over by N.J state troopers, hamilton, west windsor and trenton and I never once got a ticket for them.
