Calling out Melaz425....Bring it on!

Well since he now his his little turbo he thinks he can run with the big boys, so this is his chance to show what his car can do. I want a fair race at the track, this way there is no BS....its all in the numbers.

Name a date and we can go. LVD is probably the best track option within driving distance, but it dosnt matter to me.

He is in for one hell of an eye opening.....I seriously hope you are running mid 13's, cause thats what its gonna take to beat my little Mazdaspeed.

I don't know this Melaz 425 person...but if he drives an Evo, he'll likely smoke you without too much effort. Even a stock Evo can run 13's...

A local EvoM member installed a turbo kit in his Lancer OZ, and with minimal boost pressure he could easily hang with the Evos. I don't know about "eye-opening", but might be interesting to see. Have you dynoed your car yet?

2003 Mazdaspeed Protege #1298

- Short Ram Intake - Clarion Headunit - Turbo XS Dual Stage MBC @ 6psi & 11psi - NGK Plugs - Kartboy Shifter Bushings - 30% Tint - Autometer Boost & A/F Does this look cool flashing around - DIN Triple Gauge Pod Where is your 3rd gauge??? - 03.5 Shift Knob - Smoke Tail Light Overlays - Greddy TT - Blackout Rear Valance - Black Front Drift Lip - 8000K HID - Spool Stage 2 FMIC - TurboHoses R&D IC Pipes - Greddy RS BOV - Sparco Deadpedal - AWR Race Motor Mounts - Corksport Turboback Exhaust - Custom "Mazdaspeed" Graphics

You I doubt run mid 13's with your mods. The mods listed for power is the bc the bushiungs and mounts do help due to them being wheel hopping pos's the tbe and the frontmount with hardpipes. But You might be at a 13.8 13.9 but no You better be AT LEAST mid 13's to have a chance. I kow cause my friend has a MSP and I have run around with it with turboback mounts hardpipes and intake.

Do your custom graphics help in aerodynamics?

A call out is cool and all but since it wasn't brought on the boards keep it private. Also if you do it don't sound so cocky especially when it wouldn't be such a huge defeat if one at all.

I REALLY wanted to like the MSP, I REALLY did, it looks awesome and is priced just right. Then the idiots as mazda did the following..

Hooked up by FAR the worst turbo for performance, the T-25
Used, PLASTIC IC piping...
Used a TERRIBLE IC and IC Location
did not build the engine to handle any real boost, it is the exact same as the 140HP crap motor only with lower compression, not sure on oil squerters.

So all you have to do is build the engine, replace the turbo, manifold, FMIC, piping, injectors, and then you have a hell of a car....

It only makes like what 170HP WITH the turbo? what a waste, The Neo POWNES11!!!111!!11! THIS car but doesn't handle as well, the MSP handles quite nicely, but then again it has no power to torque steer.................

for an engine that can't handle more than 250hp it's sized just right, maybe a t28 but real close

same static compression as the N/A motor, 9.1:1. the oil squirters were already there on the N/A version so they stayed

you can pretty safely and for probably around $3-4k put down 230 at the wheels. not too bad. the only bad part is that after that, you pretty much have to have a built motor, and even then i dont think anyone has gone much over the 300hp mark.

the biggest restriction the cars have is the pcm, so people have had problems tuning the car for bigger injectors. there are some options available now for it but none are too great and for a while there was nothing

it's a good car for what it is, does really well in its autox class, and is a fun daily driver, but it's not a race car

I figure with a built motor it'll make plenty of power ?????
