I wanted to ask John what a stock Evo/STi puts down on his dyno but I forgot to
Hmm...that's definitely 20-30whp lower than what I'd expect your car to put down on a Dynojet for sure. Who had the highest dynoing Evo of the day?

as for the highest evo, when I was there, there was an Evo with 280s that made ~325 .

i hate to break it to you guys
but it reads higher than a mustang
i have dynoed cars on Pruvens Dynojet and then dynoed here and they are within 5-6 hp

You cannot compare my Dyno to any other land and sea
i have spend 3 months getting the thing calibrated properly
and i have software noone else had (formulas and such)
FWD RWD, are all dead nut on to the local Dynojet.

AWD averages 20-30 hp more than a dyno dynamics (ktr)

You guys are all fooled by dyno jet standards
which are crap as it is
they have slip factors and a ton of other stuff built in to their software
that makes their # higher than everyone else

Dyno jets measure how fast you can accelerate a known mass and
then formulates TQ from the RPM signal
Think about it
those rollers weight 900++++ lbs
once spinning @ however fast they are going @6k rpm
it dosent take as much power to make them accelerate more

my dyno and others likeit
measure ACTUAL TORQUE @ the wheels
takes RPM and makes a HP #

my dyno runs are a simulated road load
so as you accelerate the load on the rollers increases just as it would when you are driving due to the mass of the car and wind resistance

Cool John. Thanks a lot for clearing that up. I had a hard time finding solid info (most was comparative dyno - to - dyno stuff) on the Land & Sea units. I had just found some stuff on the difference between an accelerometer and the DYNOmite.

Either way, thanks for the info...now that I have a baseline, I'll be able to actually assess the effect of future mods. Keep those dyno days coming!

+1 exactly its about 20-30 difference from the ktr dyno. If TDCs dyno read like a dynojet i would have been really pissed off about my results cus normally people with my mods are about 350. nicely calibrated
