That is prime real estate for a dealership. I wonder what will open in its place?

some serious investors that know what the **** they are doing should re-open it under new management and with a good restructuring program in place. AND KEEP THE ENTIRE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TEAM. they are all very very cool people. the crew that i mean is from april of last year till now, if you had a bad experience with the old crew well it is not relevant in this case. but yeah bill reider is tha man, he was the service manager there.

so who here thinks shelton mit. should reopen its doors? even tho only 3 or 4 of you ever went there hahahahahha.

it happens..... but a stronger advertisement campaign could have avoided all this. like the one they had going on back in the day with the service department. all the techs lined up along the street wearing the red mitsubishi uniforms. and at the end of the comercials they would always put the valvestem caps on one of the rims. i think that that ad campaign during that quarter was the busiest i had ever seen at the dealership's service department. i USE to be a tech at a mitsu dealership.

I'd welcome them back if they changed their business practices. Not a great moral compass present at Shelton Mitsubishi.

However this is Fairfield County and would probably do a ton more business if it became a Lexus, Infiniti, Jaguar, MB, BMW dealership etc.

Heck we love our Japanese cars, so even Toyota would suffice.

thats a great point. although i do not agree with the moral compass comment at least not with the service department. they were all very very good friends of mine and they are all stand up guys.

Mitsubishi doesnt do enough to push there cars. At the rate there going there not going to be in the US within the next 4-5 years. They need to bring out that Eclipse Ralliart concept and make a new version of the FTO and bring it here. I think that will boost sales a bit

they dont just rely on sales of 3 sports cars..... they have all the other lineup to sell, if they dont sell those cars they will have to compete soleley as a sports car auto maker like porsche, the evo is all nice and dandy but do you think its worty of competing with porsche's??? exactly. they just gotta do something that will sell all their cars, and all it would take is just stronger tv adds with higher volume and exposure.....

More details. My parts manager spoke with their bodyshop manager and they will not be reopening per what he told us. My rep. also stated the same thing. This closure, like Tony March, is not related to Mitsu being slow or busy. It is for personal family reasons from what I've been told by a reliable source. Mitsu is not going anywhere. Their national reliability and customer satisfaction scores are going up. Remember people, it's all of us who represent the image of Mitsu. Our feedback, customer survey scores, and our word of mouth that can bolster Mitsu's mediocre image.
