Mitsubishi Motors Club of York, PA is planning their first meet of the 2006 season Sunday April 23rd. Below is the email about the meet/autocross. Hope some of you can attend and I look forward to meeting you!

It is time for the first Mitsubishi Motors Club of York, PA meet in 2006. We are planning on having a large scale meet Sunday April 23rd. It would be held at the York Fairgrounds. We will be holding a meet in the parking lot of the Fairgrounds during the Susquehanna Region SCCA Autocross. This will give us a chance to have a meet, in a large parking lot, with the sound of screaching tires in the background. You will have the chance to attend the meet, watch the autocross, and for some... even compete in the autocross.

If you would like to attend the meet please email me back so I can get an idea on a number of people for parking purposes.

I also wanted to let you know that through the Yahoo Autos Sweepstakes held at the 2005 SEMA AutoSalon York Mitsubishi has now become the owner of THE factory Mitsubishi Motors Ralliart Evo IX Showcar! A long story made short, the car was involved in a sweepstakes at the SEMA show in Vegas. The winner, lived near York Mitsubishi so the car was shipped here. We presented the keys to the winner (see pictures at www.yorkmitsubishi.com) but it turns out the winner was not totally interested in keeping the vehicle so we were able to re-aquire the car. It is THE SAME car featured at www.ralliartusa.com and is a one and only MMNA Factory Ralliart Evo IX. We will keep the car to show at Meets, and also to help promote the launch of Ralliart in the USA. The car is on display at York Mitsubishi periodically during the week so stop by or email me to set up a time to see, and hear.... it. It will be at the meet April 23rd.

I"ll be there, i'm already signed up for the autocross.

 

I wanted to go to the meet you guys had last year, but I had something going on. As of right now I'm free on the 23rd so I should be there. 99% chance that I will be there! Should be good fun. Will we have to pay to get in since it will be at an event?

 

The only cost is to enter the autocross. If you are just coming, parking, and watching, there is no admission cost. they usually have a consession vendor there with food so bring money for that.

I will be in the autocross with my Lancer and my father will be in the Ralliart Evo and maybe his 911.

So far (3/27/06) we are at about 20 guys showing up for sure with another 10 probablys/maybes.

A galant club and a DSM club from the area are also thinking about coming. Should be fun.

As of now we are at about 35 people at the meet/and watching while we have a bout 6 people doing the event.

Yes the Ralliart Evo IX WILL be there. It will be at the meet when it is not making a run in the autocross. Chad from CBRD will be there as well with his MR plus the usual host of Evo's and other Mitsu's.

 

What time is everyone meeting? Also, what area of the fairgrounds will the autocross be set up at?

 

Meet will begin at 10:00 am. The parking lot behind the stage and stuff is where they hold the events. You just come in the gate and drive around to it. The autocross begins earlier if you are running the event check out the Susquhanna Region site or myautoevents.com.

Sure. The Scoobies may be a bit out numbered.... like 35 to 2 but sure. haha.. But seriously, yeah sure bring 'em out!

For everyone else going to the meet, which should be just over about 30 guys, the meet will start at 10:00 am in the paring lot during the autocross which starts around 8 am.

yeah, talk about a quick death.

im going to try to make the sure the car is there....

ill be at the ocean, i forgot it was a weekend my wife planned 3 months back, before we really get heavy into getting the shop open.

I will either have my tech mark bring the car, or possibly the old man... he won't beat on it.

I'll be there... although with my snow tires on! My new wheels will not make it in time. I wanted to run in the autox as well... this bites!
