Gauging interest: 2006 EVO IX MR (Graphite Grey)

So here's the deal. I might be moving back to Scotland (good chance of it actually). I'll know for sure by the end of next week (around May 18-19). Unfortunately, I only just bought a brand new EVO about 3 months ago. It has 1800 miles on it, and if you didn't look at the odometer, I could pass it off as brand new from the dealer. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, and there's not a single mark on it. It's only been handwashed by me using a microfiber wash mitt, P21S Bodywork Conditioning Shampoo, P21S Drying Towel (Chamois), P21S Wheel Cleaner, and Eimann Fabrik Black Sapphire Tire Gel (yes, I'm a fan of P21S, and no, no wax as I'm too lazy for that ).

I've never launched it, it's been broken in gently, I'm the only one who's ever driven it (in fact, no one else has even been a passenger in it yet), and it runs quite nicely now I might add (see, I've done the break in work for you ). Heck, it's never even seen the rain (I haven't even used the wipers yet). It's garage kept, and I've only taken it out on weekends (and mostly highway miles at that). And it's completely stock with only the following modifications: aluminum front strut brace, rear strut brace, and door sills (all from Mitsubishi). Oh yeah, and it has LoJack installed too. And there is no front license plate drilled in to the bumper (but I have the mounting kit).

Yes, I've thought about taking it with me, but in the end I don't think I will because I don't think it's worth it (shipping costs plus EU modifications that need to be done to it). Plus the fact that it's a left hand drive (and they drive on the wrong side of the road) will probably bug me.

So send me a PM (serious offers only please) if you're interested. Tell me what you'd be willing to pay for it. Yes, I know you will actually need to see it, but like I said, just assume it to be a brand new car from the dealer, and make an offer based on that (but obviously discounting it a bit for the miles). In other words, I'm trying to impress on you the fact that it's in mint condition (flawless). Then we can talk some more.

So if you, or someone you know, are thinking of buying a new EVO IX MR, why not save a few grand and consider mine. If you've never driven an EVO before, go to a dealer and get a test drive, because I'm not giving free test drives.

And finally, yes, I am going to miss this car immensely . It's almost enough reason for me to stay here and not move back to Scotland, but my job prospect there is better. Plus it's a great place to live (beats the pants off of NJ), and the roads there are a lot more fun . Also, it means I have some really nice choices for my next car. I could go the EVO route again (get a nice FQ-something), or maybe I'll go for a TVR this time (I've always loved those cars and wanted one).

Yeah, the Cosworth was a sweet **** car, but a bit dated (looks wise) for me now. Here's a car I was about to buy before moving from Scotland back to here:

I think my next car, if I get this job so I can move back, will be one of the new TVRs :-)

TVR's are so sick, but not that reliable and some rich 23 or so year old kid just bought the company so it could go down the toilet, but ive seen one in person and ohh do they sound sexy!! best of luck with the sale!

Yeah, reliability was always a concern on the older models, but the newer ones are supposedly a lot better. And I think it was a rich Russian who bought the company. Hey, a rich Russian did wonders for Chelsea, so that doesn't worry me

Thanks, I still haven't heard yet, but I think tomorrow (Friday) is the day. So hopefully Scotland here I come

Almost anything does
Btw. NJ just passed a law to allow illegal immigrants to collect money in case they were in an accident with an uninsured driver (insured/uninsured, no difference, we all pay for it). You'll be loving yourself when you move out, just get an FQ over there and don't look back.

How much are you looking to get for the car? I know its basically brand new but do you have a starting price?

Not really. Once I know for sure I'm going to sell it, I'll be doing a sealed bid type of auction. Best price wins, but with it being a sealed bid, no one will know what others are bidding. So who ever makes the best bid wins. Pretty simple.

Update: now they say I'll know early this coming week. Fingers crossed...
