Here is a suggestion. Set a date. Contact Someone at Tri Stae Evo and Evo NY to talk it up and sit back and watch your master plan come together. At Evo NY we have Evo meets every week with up to 20 cars.

Important update:

Thanks to help and pointers from vwvortex guys here is what we have:

Picnics or outings involving fifty or more participants:
The group must notify our administrative offices in advance of the event by calling 201 768-1360, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The only questions at this point are:

1. Still need a core of 5 people. I am in so 4 more is what we need.
2. We need to figure out how much everyone is to chip in. I strongly suggest that we dont just bring something on our own - that will turn out to be a mess. We need to chip in and let the core group buy everything. All the money that will be left over will go into a raffle. Nobody is making a profit here, i just want everything to be organized and for this to be a day to remember.
3. The core needs to contact the local law at the number i listed above. We will do so once the core is finalized.
4. We need to figure out how to chip in. Here is what i propose: Once everyone is in and we know exactly how many cars we have gathering and how many people are in, the core goes out and buys all that we need. We arrange it with the park guards (i know this can be done with no problems) for everyone entering for the meet to pay cash at the entrace - this way the core gets the money they paid out of pocket to begin with and we have the remaining cash to raffle.
5. We need a stronger promotion of the event.

Any thoughts?

I"m like 5mins from that area. If this is to happen I can setup with S2Ki Metro crew, unless
this BBQ is limited to EVO's only.

P.S. guys do not think of driving fast on that road leading you to the picnic area.
Roads are bad and can barely fit two cars going oppisite directions.

Nope, no reason to limit anyone. This should be for Automotive Enthusiasts (i mean we dont want to set up a meet for Toyota Corolla owners...) so all true performance machines should be welcome. The S2K is right up our alley.

As for the road, i do also caution you guys: its a great road but please watch out for bikes, pedestrians and cars. Lots of bline corners and hills and dips to watch out for as well.

3 more people for the core needed.

As for price of entry. The park will charge us at least $5 per car - thats a given. We need at least $5-7 per person in food fees - thats for sure as well. We will also have free photographs (pro) taken on the spot (1 shot of your car and 1 group shot included with additional individual shots provided for extra at your request). I think a $20 entrance fee is not a bad idea given that we will raffle off whatever is left over. I would go more, in fact i will chip in $100 for this event but not everyone will want to do that so $20 minimum with anything above that at free will should be a good number.

I am thinking, maybe we can get a few sponsors involved, giving away parts as prizes - Best appearance, Cleanest aftermarket installation, Most unique ride.

Any thoughts?
