Summer BBQ Tri-State area proposal

MEET UPDATE. PLEASE CHECK HERE FOR THE LATEST INFO:

DATE AND TIME: SATURDAY AUGUST 5th 10am

Place: Ross Dock (Palisides New Jersey)

Current status: MEET OVER

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CAME AND TO THE PARK AUTHORITIES. IT WAS A GREAT DAY. GOOD MEETING YOU GUYS. WE SHOULD DO THIS AGAIN.

SOME PHOTOS FROM THE MEET (More to come):

Driving Directions:

Arrive at the GWB. Instead of going onto the bridge go pas it (parallel) on the right side until you hit a T Intersection. Go right. You are traveling on Hudson Ter. Going South. You will have the river on your left side (cant see it because of the trees). Bo a bit and you will start coming down a hill. Keep watching your left. You will see what looks like an extended shoulder. Ofter you will see cars parked there or Hot Dog vendor trucks. Right there you will see a small intrance into the woods with a stop sign. Thats where you want to go - Henry Hudson Dr.

Here is a photo for you:

Caution: During the day there are bike riders on this road so go with caution - during day lights its just a great place to open up all the windows and drive for the scenery and the fresh air. This road leads right to the area where i propose we hold the meet. Follow the road and when you arrive at a small turnabout with a high stone cliff at your left side continue forward, do not take the right road exit if you plan on enjoying the road as it continues. If you do take that exit you will arrive at the meeting spot:

If you are arriving from the opposite direction, the road you want is "Henry Hudson Dr." going South (down) - once on it the roundabout turn leads you to the meeting spot - take a look at this map showing you how to enter the road:

Already did a few days ago but got no response

Come on guys, we can make a great meet out of it. Location is good, plenty of space. Lets have a blast!

I am going to start talking with the law.

This month for sure. Need 3-4 guys to help out with all the organizing.

Another note: My brother, a great photographer and (keeping my fingers crossed) a soon to be MR owner will join us. This means that we will have a great photo-shoot as well.

I am there every day at least once a day on that road. I like to drive there before i sign off for the day just for the drive so if you see a silver MR on Henry Hudson Dr. chances are its me.

Let work this through. I am all for it in terms of having it as early as possible, we just have to make sure we have everything buttoned down right. We also want to get as many cars as we can, the area can support it and we should have a meet to remember. Cars, food, drinks and photo shoots.

In terms of pricing. The standard pass is $5. I am thinking we all put down $20. We get 100 cars and thats $2000. After the permits and the food we should have at least $1000 - that we raffle off in parts. Would also be great to have sponsors. What do you guys think?
