haha found this on the cobalt forums
Even though driving an Evo, I do agree with this. I hate those drives SRT. They always rev up on me even though going on different directions. But what I hate the most is that I when i see another Evo, I try to say what's up, give the peace sign or hang loose. But 90% of the time, i get them reving up on me or made it look as though their stock Evo VIII is better then mine. Some Evo owners attitudeds really sucks. Has it ever happened to any of you guys?

This is how I think GM(formerly known as general motors
) should have done it.
With the SRT4 they offered staged upgrades for the car right from mopar. I think a good idea would have been to make the SS a little cheaper(pricewise) and generic, kinda like a civic. No power adders, maybe a few drivetrain goodies, and have GMPP(GM Performance Parts) offer a ****LOAD of upgrade parts for it. Including superchargers, turbos, gauge kits, intercoolers, exhausts, throttle bodies, etc. Somewhat like how Ford has their Ford Racing products for mustangs and such.

I know but a turbo engine is a hell of a lot easier to upgrade that our supercharged engines.

If ss/sc owners dropped the extra 10k that it would cost to buy an evo into there 20-25k cobalts they could turbo swap and run right w/ evos. It's a matter of personal preference. I'm 17 and couldn't spend 33k on a brand new evo or I def would have. (I will in 2 years) but I am satisfied w/ "GM's ill-fated attempt to have a runner in the sport compact world"

Oh, and there's no turbo on the Cobalt. It's a Eaton M62 Roots supercharger.

And no, a cobalt owner did not write this so don't get so pissed becuz they talked down upon an Evo. It was found on srt-4 forums and someone put it on our car forums and I figured some people would get a laugh on here and not take it so seriously like you did.

And this is way off topic. This isn't really a useful thread anyway.
Oh, and no harm meant with the Cobalt comment. Just expressing my views.
Bummer we didn't crack the #1 spot. Give us some more time. After all the teenage kids crash their Neons, there will be no more SRT-4's around and by virtue of elimination we will be #1!!

I have respect for all cars (except a few and we all know which ones we are talking about) due to the fact they are all in the same tuner worlds as we are and love the fact of modding, racing, driving, and just having fun with their cars. Posts like these about the "douchebag cars" or whatever shouldnt phase us. As long as we are happy with our car is all that matters. My .02

anytime i see an evo i give them a wave. most wave back. i also do so for other cool cars that are not ricers or v8 jerks. i have more issues with v8ers than anyone when it comes to reving the engine. they stare me down as they do it as if they are the bomb, i just give them a smile and a wave. i came across a new IX that turned around in the middle of the road to race me! instead of just waving and going on. some people have massive ego's.
