Not many ways to feel more violated then getting robbed.

Keep bumping this thread every day for a few weeks. Monitor E-bay & craigslist.

Most likely they knew exactly what they were after.

It may or may not have been an inside job. I doubt it though. From the other talk in the thread I can take a couple of guesses as to what areas of wormtown he lives in. And all of those areas are not exactly the safest areas to live because of gang activity.

The gangs are not as bad as what you would find in South Central LA, but they still do stuff like vandalism, theft, mugging, and pushing drugs.

I went to college next to one of those areas and know people that have been mugged and had their cars vandalized (including myself on the vandalism). My car was parked on the street in front of my dorm house and some ****er broke my driver's door window. Thankfully, this was before I owned an Evo. Whoever did it did not take anything from my car. It looked like they just used a punch to shatter the glass and maybe got spooked by someone or the street light I was parked under which would only stay on for like ten minutes at a time and then turn off for like twenty minutes.

I filed a report with the police and the woman taking my report she had just taken another similar report for another car on the other side of the block who had stuff taken from their car.

A couple of months after that, the same exact thing that happened to me happened to one of my housemates. They did not take anything from him either, but that was probably because he had a Geo Metro.

Crap like that is part of why I moved away from wormtown and into a more suburban area. Plus it is easier to find a place with a garage out here. Do not get me wrong, there are nice places to live in and around wormtown, but none of those are in the areas around downtown where I used to live and where AutobonEvo lives.

Yeah, totally. I would be sweating bricks if I had to park my car in any of the not-nice areas around there. I have been back to campus two times over the past couple of weeks and always make sure to park my car on campus in a very well-lit area with steady traffic if possible.

I am willing to bet no one has touched your Evos because they are afraid they might be loaded up with security.

There is a first time for everything. I never thought my champagne green Taurus would be a target. And my old housemate's Metro? And not taking your TV??? Which, I assume is nice.

The thieves around there do not seem to make much sense in their targetting. Although, I did have a radar detector on the windshield and a double-din Clarion. But still...

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention homicide in my last post. The same year that happened to my Taurus, I was hanging out at an apartment six blocks from my dorm house and we heard someone get stabbed in the parking lot of the apartment building next to the one we were in.
