Well I just got a wild hair up my *** and was wondering if anyone would be interested in renting out a track in PA called Beaver Run Motorsports Complex? Every year the s2000 guys rent it out and have a blast. They have a full track and VDA area to offer, we could rent one or the other or both depending on interest. I am going to call tomorrow and see how much it would be to rent each one for a day. More information on Beaver Run can be found here:

I would like to schedule it for a saturday or sunday, and preferably one that coincides with a weekend that the nearest drag strip has an import shoot-out night. That way one day can be spent at the track and one day spent at the 1320 and we can make a weekend out of it. Plus I figure making it a two day event will help to justify the drive for those of you that want to come from further away. There are two drag strips within 1 hour of Beaver Run, one is Pittsburgh Raceway Park(approx. drive 1 hour), and the other is Quaker City Raceway(approx. drive 1 hour). No concrete date has been set, I was wondering if there would be any interest in this. It would cost each person some amount which I will post tomorrow after talking to Beaver Run and getting a price for track rental.

That sounds like an awesome idea! I bet there would be a lot of people willing to participate. Include a car show for those that don't want to race but just hang out and show off their cars and you probably have a serious winner.

Good idea! No point for a drag strip. The EVO is meant to be driven at a circuit track.

Sounds like a great idea. Count me in also. We should scheadule it for spring 07, so we wouldn't have to wait. We should make a list of people who would be really interested.

Once you call those tracks send everybody a PM with all the info and we can go from there.

P.S If we come up short on Evos we might want to bring our friends with other cars, like I have 3 buddies - one drives 06 STi, 01 S4, 98 SH. Just a thought, though I'm sure we'll have a nice number of evos.
