they are out for death!

i just got one today from a Freehold cop... that SOB... but the tint rule is so unnecessary. i have to appear at court next wednesday at 830 and then the judge decides how much to fine me.. hopefully hes feeling real sincere

decides what to fine you??? its just a solid payment, no decision, you dont even have to go to court..there is no points for that, just pay the 50 bucks

I removed the tint off my front windows. Will I still have to pay a fine if the tint is no longer there?

When I called the lady said that the exhaust ticket will strictly be a fine. I asked her why the court appearance necessary box was checked she said not to worry about it.

Anyone else have anymore info on these topics?

That is some serious bulls**t man.

I understand the tint ticket and thats your fault.

As for the exhaust I heard your car and it is NOT that loud. I have plenty of friends with Harley's that have the stock exhaust and are much louder then your car. Would you like me to drive it to court for you (Yes I have my motorcycle license and I can ride). I would argue that to the death of me.

The Freehold cops are out to prove a point ever since that huge wreck!

so im traveling up rt 15 north... heading to a friend of mines house. driving nicely, I pass a cop that isnt shooting radar or anything just sitting there. After about 2 minutes he pulls out. I was doing perfect speed limit and had my car geared right.. soo i head into sparta, the cop follows, gets real close to me.. than i make a left.. he makes a left.. than i just give up, he was on my butt and running my plate. So i see a nice open parking lot and I pull myself over.. he gets behind me, flicks his lights. for no reason

He proceeds to walk up to my car and I say hello, nicely. He asked why i pulled over?. I told him that he was going anyway and it was a nice safe spot to do soo soo i did it. Than he asked if I was guilty of anything. I said no.. than he asked bout my license and than said my car was pretty loud. I told him I know it was and explained my 18 inch resonator and cat.. Than I pulled out my document folder with my state legislator and other information on " Loud exhausts" in NJ... We than talked.. like normal human beings. i pointed out the highlighted area's and explained decibal readers to him. He told me i was pretty smart. I was not a dick to the cop and I just had facts. Cold Hard Facts. He than asked me about going to court for this and i showed him the highlighted area stating the case will be dismissed if a decibal reading is not taken at time of summons. He did not have a decibal reader and idk cops that do. than he went to his car and ran my license.. came back after like 15 minutes with a huge smile.. and said " Wow you werent kidding about your exhaust tickets"/. I explained to him the 11 over the past 2 years and how they pretty much all woulda been dismissed if I would have known the facts than.
we than just talked a bit and I told him where i was headed. He told me to have a nice day and that was that....

So here is a word to everyone. Get your facts, Reasearch the law, dont act like a cocky bastard and You wont ever need to pull in your clutch/bog out ur car again in front of cops..

If I were to plead not guilty to the exhaust ticket based on the fact a decibel level reading wasn't taken does anyone know what will happen?

will it just be thrown out?

will they ask to perform the test there?

as far as the decibel testing i doubt they would do it at the courthouse, if the cop gave you a ticket without one then I imagine the ticket would be dropped. I'd definitely try to find out the exact law on that and bring in a copy of what it says when you go

you still have too pay the tint, and mostly every ticket the court appearance is checked off if you want to appeal it.. which u can..cause if they didnt have a measurement on it they cant say what is loud and what isnt... you were just unlucky and got a cop that got made fun of alot in school
