Calling all NJ members! Street Wars @ Raceway Park

HI-TECH IMPORTS vs. AMERICAN MUSCLE!! This Saturday, March 3, will be the first street wars of the season @ Englishtown. Weather should be really nice. All cars must be streetable and meet noise regulations. I will be leaving from the Woodbridge, NJ area at around 11pm and meet up with some friends/caravan.

Give me a call if you're interested. 732-407-3988

I'll be there.

I was there this past Sunday for the winter warm up to get some practice.

Surprised more Evo guys aren't talking about this event; the weather looks to be really nice.

There were so many people at this event.

They actually had to stop admitting people that wanted to run; I believe they ran out of the inspection tickets.

It took 45-50 minutes upon entering to get the car tech inspected.

I would say about 5-6 Evos were at the event. Not everybody ran.

I only ran twice.

The first run I ran a crappy 13.3 at 108 with a decent 1.73 60 ft. time.

Second run I got locked out of third resulting in bouncing off the rev limiter when I eventually got into 3rd (big backfire) and at that point I just coasted in fourth at 1/2 throttle.

It's not worth it to post my time on that run.

I was at the winter test & tune this past Sunday in which I ran a 12.7 @ 111 (with me still getting locked out of third but not that bad).

I'm thinking my car isn't running properly (actually I know it isn't); I was only boosting 25 psi tapering to 23 psi. Note that I was running meth injection too.

Time to do a boost leak test & test my alky injection pump.

Yeah with your mods your car should be running much quicker times.

I guess I'm glad that I didnt go... I hate the crowds

way tooooo many cars, i was there for like 2 hours and i waited almost 30 minutes just to get in. it was a very nice day but for some reason the evos where not running as quick as they should have been. i wish i ran my car but i had to go to work. Anyway this is the first Street Wars and i think most of us are still trying to tune our cars for the up coming season. i think everybody is going to run better time next time there out there. best of luck to all.... o yeah one more thing we need more evos out there, whats the deally only five evos thats it and i think only 2 or 3 ran there whips. NJ evo shops should have been there and everybody else that want to boost up there business, cuz there was a lot of people out there.

There were more evos than 5. I was the second or third evo there and I stopped counting at 15. The problem was most all of them came AFTER they stopped letting people in to race. I was the blue evo with TT on the wing that ran back to back 12.0s. I agree it was too crowded though. How did eliminations go, I had to leave?
