Ladies and gentlemen! Ticket season has begun! Just got pulled over this morning on my way to work. Stopped me for my tints, front license plate cover, and my exhaust. Lucky for me I have a get out of jail free card (aka PBA). The cop also tried to be slick by saying I wasn't wearing my seatbelt also. Even though I removed my seatbelt to get to my wallet to retrieve my license/registration. So they just let go me with a warning for my tints and said they are cracking down. WOW... just wow. Never had any issues before taking the same route every morning through Haledon.

sounds bout right once it gets nice out cops are just ticket happy. It's cus they don't get cold when they get out their cars so they do't mind getting out the car that much LOL

 

I've heard alot of cops in your area are giving tickets even when ur not in the car!

Small update. Just got stopped again near lunch time heading to work. lol This time just for the exhaust. I should stop taking the shortcut through Prospect Park and Haledon. Heh. Officer states I got stopped for my exhaust and asks me if I have points presently on my license. (wtf?) I said no. I ask him I want to know what would define my exhaust as loud since I thought exhausts were fine 95db and below and it would be tested with some kind of decibel meter. He's like well sir I don't carry a machine like that. All he knows is its loud and distracting to himself and to other drivers. Give him my family member PBA and he's like who gave you this. I'm like Officer etc. He's like ok. Walks back to the car and comes back. He's like you can take your card back and get two summons. Or I keep the card. He says if you really are a family member you shouldn't have any problems getting another one. NICE!

 

^^^^^^ I carry a 2gig card in my pda phone in the event that I ever get pulled over by a pig like that. Record everytihng. Luckily, I haven't had to use it. So what did you do?

 

I didn't bother much since I got stopped there before. I still have a few pbas left. But I might give one of my pd friends a call and see if I can get my card back.
