Smithtown is even more arrogant than Sunrise. They are still asking for at least $2500 above MSRP. Most of the dealerships I have gone to and talked to are now selling for MSRP but Sunrise and Smithtown are still trying to pinch every dollar from you. That's their perogative but I think they will have a hard time selling them for that much.
Thanks for the heads up on the yellow one but I'm interested in either silver or black. I dealt with Rob Cacciola over at Sunrise. Overall he was extremely courteous but the experience was not what I expected. I drove 45 minutes to see a car - and they bring out the ****tiest car on the lot and expect me to pay sticker for that piece of garbage???? That's unacceptable.
....and don't get me started on Wantagh cause I could start a whole new thread on Wantagh and Mike D'Andrea.
My girlfriend had a deal to buy a Red OZ from them. They low-balled on the trade-in so naturally she sold her car privately. She sold the car on Saturday and expressed her concern over getting her new car promptly because she needs it for work. They never returned her phone call and then told her that the Red OZ that they were Supposed to get from another dealer - was sold.
So I spoke to David at Island and he promised to beat Wantagh's offer and get her in a Red OZ the next day. When my girlfriend spoke to the manager at Wantagh - he questioned her ethics by accusing her of lying about the offer at Island.
Needless to say - when she went in to get her deposit back - the salesman she was working with - gave her the stink eye and was extremely obnoxious. My girlfriend contends that it was the manager that lost the sale for the salesman - but I still feel that the people at Wantagh are a bit high on themselves..
We went into Island last night, signed, sealed and delivered. Easy as pie. She's picking up her red OZ tonight.
and SCREW Wantagh for marking up the EVO 3,000.

Every Mistu salesman says: 'How can we earn your business?'
At Island, they earned my business, but they have also earned my trust.

You should try Bell Mitsubishi in Rahway, NJ or Maywood Mitsubishi in Maywood, NJ.
I know Bell usually has a few more EVOs in their inventory than other dealers in NJ and in Maywood, they have 2 - 2004 EVOs (Red and Silver) in their showroom and 1 - 2003 EVO (Red) in their dealer as was we speak. They just recently sold a white RS last Saturday.
