Anyone know this EB Evo IX?

Hi,

A decent looking Evo just showed up at the Hartford Carmax.

Do any of you know this Evo or its previous owner? I am trying to figure out if it has any hidden problems or if it was beat in the past.

Thanks!

Hi,

I am unsure if this is the same one, but there was one up for sale near my area, at an nissan dealer, it had a ralliart lip front, canards. I went to check it out a couple of months back. needless to say I didnt even test drive it, the thing looked beat to hell! I am not sure if this is the same one though, it may not be...I think the one I looked at had about 8 or 9 thousand miles. Just carfax it and take it out for a drive to see how it is. G/L

It is a 5 spd and and has 4200 miles on it. It has an afternarket Hid kit on it and is incredibly clean. No modifications from what I could tell and no flash. The advans are not worn and the transmission shifts smooth and perfectly. Probably smoothest shifting Evo I ever drove. Glad I drove it too because now I know that mine is much more notchy than it should be. If someone is going to buy it, better get it quick or don't get it at all. At Carmax, anyone with a valid drivers liscense can drive the car. I was told that I was one of MANY whod drove that car on tuesday. It and the 05 STi are probably the most test driven cars there. It honestly felt very solid. I don't rag on cars so don't worry about me. Worry about those idiots that want to drive it just to launch it and go bragging to their friends that they just test drove an Evo IX.

dunno, go test drive it, and look under the car and hood, you could at least find out some things that way

If its important for you to buy a car that isnt modded, check the screws around the airbox and the bolts around the exhaust to see if it was pulled off.  With only a few thousand miles on it, theres really no reason why someone should be messing with those anyways.

No prob. This car will not be there long. My brother works down there part time and says that Evos and STis are usually gone within a few days. Carmax is great because you can really get the feel for how cars compare back to back. Did I mention how dumbfounded I was by how smooth that Evo shifted. It was almost Audi/VW smooth.
