I got the hyper yellow fogs in yesterday....very nice
And now I am going to install the silencer back into the exhaust. Quiet the Evo down a little. Now that the boost leak is fixed, at WOT the car is way more loud than I am used to...no need to attract those who do not need attracting. But then again....I love loud exhaust.
....unless your Paul, and love the man in uniform staring down at you through the window <------ j/p

Very fine cut rubbing compound: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...beGSRKGRPJV4gl
Machine glaze: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...beGS8V45YN4Pgl
For the Audi I had to use the rubbing compound with a more aggressive pad. my plan was to do that then the next weekend do a pass with the finishing pad and machine glaze. surpisingly though i was REALLY happy with the results of the more aggressive pad and rubbing compound so i just waxed her afterwards and called it a day.
for the evo i will *only* be using a finishing pad and the machine glaze. i MAY use the rubbing compound on certain spots if they prove to be problematic.
let me know if u want me to help out!
EDIT: 3M makes an even finer machine glaze which doesn't do any correction. it's mainly for show cars. for me it doesn't make sense on a DD, the machine glaze is "good enough". you might want to consider this for your evo tho. it would give it that really intense showroom finish.

Index of detailing how-tos: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/how-to.html
PC Intro (AWESOME): http://www.autopia-carcare.com/inf-p...-polisher.html
General Polishing How-To: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/how-to-polish-a-car.html
EDIT: for your bro's car, i'd try using the least aggressive pad and machine glaze, see how one panel comes out. if that doesn't seem to be aggressive enough, then go more aggressive thats what i did with the audi.

On not so good news, looks like I'm out of work for another 3 weeks as of now. Doctor said things are going well, but it's going to take a while for me to back on my feet completely

gosh, man... you really did a number on yourself, huh?
How's your father? Are they still stuck up here in Mass or were they able to get back home?
Hopefully, you have a decent disability plan and can enjoy the benefits of salary without the drawbacks of actually having to show up at work!

Check this out...these in 20, a staggerred setup, and all black finish on your silver V. I gives you good k http://enkei.com/08_lf10.html
Take your time an do not rush it. Back and neck injuries are one of the hardest to heal from. The slightest wrong movement can send you back to square 1.

i'm not sure if i am too keen on 20's. might not really be acceptable for the roads around here, but i'm going to take a look. can't hurt. they are the same price as the 18" OEMs i found at the junkyard. i'd like to powdercoat them hyperblack or anthracite, though.....
i need a smart job like the rest of you f uckers
