Is your inventory all set now? Items not mixed together (i.e. plugs!), etc? Sweep the floor? Send out Coupons to all your loyal customers?

Just throwing some ideas out there...

Haha...damn. I liked the coupon idea. You know have some BOGO's, buy two oil filters, get one free. Stuff like that :-)

Bristol Run

Mornin peeps. I know some of you have met me at the BMW T&T. I know I had a good time, know you did also. The day was sorta of a wash though without the timers working. Still fun to rip around the cones though. I can't make the next T&T, need some time off, only have 2 weekend days in August that I am not running the cones. I am running with BMW this comming sunday though. Hopefully I will feel better because I missed getting FTD last Sat by a second +1. It was won by somebody that I usually beat by 2 seconds or so. Acute bronchitis sucks.

I'm just dropping in to post about an event this Saturday at Colt State park in RI. It is a charity event and I will be there with Kermit, wifey will be driving Inky.
www.bristolrun.com They need some sort of a head count because there will be food and music.

Scruffy: Welcome! Glad to see you and Kermit on our boards! Sounds like you've got a crazy-busy August ahead of you... A bunch of us will be heading up for the 8/9 TnT, and we'll certainly miss seeing (and hearing) the Green Monster rip it up.

A few of us are planning on signing up for the Driving School on NHMS in October...do you have any intention of participating in that event? Hopefully we'll be able to catch up with each other at an event in the near future...I'd love to snap some more pics of your car, as well.

I do have quite a few shots from the July TnT, if you'd like me to email them to you, just PM me your address.

And again, welcome to our boards...

If you are talking about Oct 4th and 5th, don't know yet, but unlikely. I have a Miata event on the 4th. It would make for a loooong Saturday because I live just north af Fall River and would need to drive home from autox and unload the trailer (Kermit wears Hoosier A6s when I compete) and pack up my 997C2S and head up to NHMS. I have only tracked the RS once and it was just stupid fast. I almost lapped my rungroup 3 times in 20 min.
You can also get track days with www.scda1.com they cost a bit more because they use real SCCA flaggers, but they run a really tight operation, good instructors also.

Hey, you have a taste of autox with the T&T, why not sign up for some of the events. You can do the BMW events if you belong, and also do the Miata events because they have a recip agreement with some of the other clubs, like BMW. Miata courses are a real brain fogger though, excellent for forcing you to look ahead. www.renegademiata.net There are also a lot of other clubs that will let you run with them without being a member.

Welcome Scruffy! It's good to get some more insight on these other events and organizations you've listed, I know I'll be looking in to them. G/L with all of your runs in the busy month and I'm sure we'll all get to catch up with you again and see you and Kerm rip it up!

All ya gotta do is ask. Most clubs will let a driver take another driver along with them, as long as both are not novices. (BAD BAD) Many drivers will also let you ride with them, thats how I got a ride to see the second course. Most of the time at Porsche events I stage my car at the end of the line and go 6+ cars or so ahead to get a ride. The course can look very different at speed. Ya just gotta hope that the driver stays on course.
How many of you drivers got a chance to ride with Mike C, the instructor? Or let him drive your car?
