Paul, why are you getting an intake? Looks? Louder spool & BOV sound? If so...that's fine, as long as you know you won't really see any performance gains!

Yup, sound. Call me a ricer!!!

I also like the idea of having an unoiled filter.

Lately, a good amount, as I am seeing knock on pulls...Also great when running at the track (especially race gas!). Some people don't need it. I did not mind spending the extra $$ for it. Personal preference I suppose. IMHO, YMMV.

Ricer!! If I had extra $$ (and did not plan on getting cams & a RED!), I would totally get one just for the sound. I loved it on my Eclipse! Sounded just like Dave's I also had a GM-MAF in blow-through, and was venting my BOV to the atmosphere. Ricer or not, who the hell doesn't want to hear your spool a mile away and blow off while driving past Dairy Queen with a crowd of people who are like WTF!

I adjusted mine a lot when tuning... then I regularly adjust it for the winter/spring/summer/fall driving seasons. It was a total PITA to install...it's way better than pulling over on 495 to adjust boost but I am still not sure that it's worth it.

I'd love to do ECU boost control- WITH a dial for in-car control without the laptop...

Anyone coming over to rock out tonite?!? I am thinking 8PM, since I have to cut the grass after work...

Gosh I wish I could VTA. Once they do ECU speed density I will be all over it, just so I can VTA and rice around all over the place.

I mean, hell... the car had red brakes, a giant wing, and looks like a ninja on steroids- it's already a rice-box, you might as well complete the package with ridiculously loud spool and VTA goodness!1!

Actually, to be honest I would love speed density to avoid the vibration issues with the stock MAF. Closing the hood, having Greg studderbox, etc all cause the MAF to act up causing the car to stutter & almost die. At least that's what you can tell people...
