I don't quite understand this...maybe you can help:
I've noticed, since I bought the Evo, that when I start it up on a cold morning with the gearshift in neutral, the car moves forward when I take my foot off of the clutch. It's never made much sense to me...
The only thing I could ever come up with is that the transmission fluid is visous enough, on start-up, that it's transmitting motion from the input shaft of the transmission to the output shaft...but that seems so improbable.
Also, how does Bruce's problem...car moves when in neutral (i assume this to mean not-in-gear) relate to clutch/flywheel failure. I still see the transmission as an isolating element in the system...

Well, at the time I meant the alky tank for the Evo...but by the time I got home...I ended up filling my tank
